Nevis: Premier of Nevis- Mark Brantley lauded Vaughn Anslyn for designing carved image of the Independence 40 and #nevisnice. While appreciating his work, he said that his work is truly “impressive” and created patriotic vibes across the island nation.
Premier Brantley said that he has single handedly transformed Nevis for Independence 40. He made people to again immerse in the feelings of the patriots and celebrate the independence with great enthusiasm.

Mark Brantley also extended gratitude to Anslyn for his work and said that this is great time to learn and celebrate the people responsible for their freedom.
He said that “amazing things happening in Nevis” as some incredibly talented people work for the betterment of the nation. Premier Brantley added that everyone loves to work for their country but very few bother to take the time to celebrate the good.
He said,” There are some truly amazing things happening in Nevis and some incredibly talented people whom we must never tire in celebrating. I know that some preach doom and gloom every day and very few bother to take the time to celebrate the good that is happening on our island and in our country.”
While extending gratitude, Premier Brantley said,”So let me publicly say thank you to Vaughan Aslyn who has emerged as one of the greatest artists and designers in the Federation and the region. He has single handedly transformed Nevis for Independence 40 and his work is truly impressive.”
He said that 40th year of Independence is the perfect reflection on the togetherness of St Kitts and Nevis. It helps them to celebrate the betterment of the nation and work for its progress.
“Nevis we have much to be grateful for. Our 40th year of independence gives us a reflection point. Let us work together, lift up each other and celebrate the gains we have made and continue to make as a Nation,”said the premier.
Notably, as part of the celebration of the Independence 40, Premier Mark Brantley started a campaign of planting tress all across St Kitts Nevis. He said that he joined other Cabinet colleagues and planted a soursop tree at the Heritage Village.
“As part of our Independence 40 celebrations we are planting trees all across St Kitts Nevis. Doing my part Independence 40 tree planting. We have a lot to be proud of here in SKN. Let us come together and continue to build SKN,”said Premier Brantley.

Premier Brantley will also host National Heroes Day Freedom Concert on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Nevis Cultural Village. The event will honour the national heroes of the country. Several performers will celebrate the day and entertain the public.
