United Nations have urged the participation of women in every field of society, especially in leadership and politics, and various organization of the UN, such as the United Nations for Women is, working efficiently to enhance the participation of the girls at all levels of society as it is a fundamental right.
While emphasizing the participation of women at all levels, the United Nations took to Twitter and asserted,” The full and equal participation of women at all levels of society is a fundamental right”.
It further noted that around the globe and across all sectors, the leadership of women continues to be underrepresented, and we need to enhance it.
The United Nations of Women also presented the report on the participation of girls at every level of the society and underscored that there are still restrictions that could be witnessed across the globe when the talks about the involvement and leadership of women have emerged at the local to the global level.
As per the reports of the United Nations, Women are still facing dominating attitudes from men and still have less number in voting percentage. Moreover, we couldn’t see the significant participation of women in the leading positions, whether in the elected office, the civil service, the private sector or academia.

It further stressed,” The less participation is occurring despite the significant capabilities of the women and agents of change. Women are facing secondary positions despite the capability to be at a respectable position and have not the right to participate equally in democratic governance.
There are many barriers suggested by the United Nations faced by women all across the level, which includes structural barriers through discriminatory laws and institutions still halting women’s option to run any leading position.
Moreover, as per the status of the education, there is a gap between the education rate than the men and contacts and resources needed to become efficient leaders.
In 2019, the United Nations General Assembly asserted that the resolution on women’s political participation mentioned that ” Women in every part of the word have been facing large scale discrimination as they have less participation across the globe and do not face equal treatment in every sphere”.
