Roseau, Dominica: Ti Vilaj Kweyol- Tout Biten Dominik was kicked off in Dominica with a massive opening ceremony and vibrant cultural performances on Tuesday (October 24, 2023). At the Botanic Gardens, there is the perfect showcase of one of the Ultimate Independence Daytime Creole events.
Ti Vilaj Kweyol has been serving as the perfect platform for local businesses and food vendors from 1 a.m. to 8 pm daily. The event will run through October 26, 2023. The entry fee for the event is $10 for 12 years and over.
Besides this, the patrons have to pay $20 for the special venue drop-off. The three-day event is all about exchanging the rich heritage of Dominica with cultural and music performances.
The first day of the event featured music and cultural performances by Ignition Ban, Reo Ok Boon, and Signal Band. As per the travellers, the first day was truly an “Explosyn Jenes- Youth Explosion”.
Other featured artistes for the first day were Xplosive Band, D Rush, DJ Drixx, DJ Real Boss, DJ Remz, Pashiwok Dances, Kalinago Dancers, NCCU Kids in Culture, Umoja CHS, Paix Bouche Cultural Group and Castle Bruce Primary School.
The cultural group showcased the rich heritage of Dominica and the unique blend of nature with an attractive lifestyle. Besides this, the first was all about dance, music, fun and the showcase of the cultural heritage of the country.
The second day of Ti Vilaj Kweyol was all about authentic Dominica souvenirs. On October 25, 2023, Dominica showcased the fashion, art and poetry of their artistes, aiming to bring awareness among people about the local products of Dominica.
The handpicked selection of genuine local souvenirs and products encapsulates the essence of Dominica’s unique heritage.
From intricately crafted keepsakes to mouthwatering local delicacies and product offerings, Dominica is all about new and unique experiences. Besides this, the local agro-processors provide new options to choose from. It will also provide cherished memories to the travellers.
The performances of Colton T, Simba Orkestra, Fyba Bryte, Innter Core Unit, Unstoppable DJs, DJ Snow, DJ Epic, Capuchin Cultural Group, Company, Flamboyant Dancers, YSM Drummers and Paix Brouchers Drummers rocked the stage of Ti Vilaj Kweyol.
The theme of the third day is “Carnival in the Creole Village” will be held on October 26, 2023. The performers of the day are ASA Bantan, Ridge and Pudaz, First Serenade, Swinging Stars and Calypsonians, DJ Taffy, Quan and Gwada G.
Besides this, the tourists will also get entertained from the rocking performances of Selectah Urban, Melbook, Mahaut Bouon Lap Kabwit, DJ Shil, Suger Fire, Patriotic Dancers and many more.
