T&T reports 194 new COVID infections, 37,326 individuals recovered so far

Trinidad and Tobago island have reported 194 new cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 25 August 2021, as per the report of the Health Ministry.

As per the report, there are 4,960 total active cases in the nation. In comparison, a total of 37,326 individuals have been recovered from the contagious COVID-19 virus. 

In total, around 294 people are still in the hospital. The Health Ministry further informed in the report that a total of 1,252 patients have died on the Caribbean island as of 25 August 2021. 

According to the report, there are a total of 98 patients in the step-down facilities, around 152 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities. A total of 4,374 individuals have isolated themselves at their respective homes amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as per the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T. 

So far, as of 25 August 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 494,625 individuals have received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 377, 398 individuals have welcomed their second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19.  

As per the report, since the COVID-19 pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 43,538 cases of the deadly virus.

If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 304,010 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which around 131,489 individuals have been tested at private facilities, whereas the remaining tests were conducted at public healthcare facilities.
