T&T records new 188 COVID-19 cases, so far reported 937 deaths

As per the report, there are 6,040 total active cases in the country rise to In comparison, a total of 27,788 individuals have been recovered from the contagious COVID-19 virus.

In contrast, around 321 people are still in the hospital. The Health Ministry further informed in the report that a total of 937 patients have died on the Caribbean island as of 11 July 2021. 

According to a total of 108 patients in the step-down facilities, around 173 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities. A total of 5,423 individuals have isolated themselves at their respective homes amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as per the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T. 

So far, as of 11 July 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 225,546 individuals have received their first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 140,568 individuals have received their second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19. 

If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 241,608 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which 101,755 COVID-19 tests were conducted at private healthcare facilities. In contrast, 139,853 people were tested at the public healthcare facilities for the novel coronavirus. 

The Health Ministry further informed in their report that the samples of these new 188 COVID-19 positive cases were taken between 7 July to 10 July 2021.
