T&T records new 181 COVID-19 cases

As per the report, there are 5,742 total active cases in the country rise to In comparison, a total of 29,458 individuals have been recovered from the contagious COVID-19 virus. 

In contrast, around 306 people are still in the hospital. The Health Ministry further informed in the report that a total of 998 patients have died on the Caribbean island as of 19 July 2021. 

According to a total of 87 patients in the step-down facilities, around 149 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities. A total of 5,168 individuals have isolated themselves at their respective homes amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as per the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T. 

So far, as of 19 July 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 252,521 individuals have received their first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 173,642 individuals have received their second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19. 

If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 250,789 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which 105,525 COVID-19 tests were conducted at private healthcare facilities. In contrast, 145,264 people were tested at the public healthcare facilities for the novel coronavirus. 

The Health Ministry further informed in their report that the samples of these new 181 COVID-19 positive cases were taken between 15 July to 18 July 2021.
