T&T records 26,239 recoveries from COVID mutant 

As per the novel coronavirus report shared by the Ministry of Health of the T&T island, on 5 July 2021 (4 pm), 127 new positive cases have been reported on the Caribbean island, taking the total number of the active cases of the COVID-19 to 6,417. 

Trinidad and Tobago: The Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago has reported a total of 26,239 recoveries from the deadly novel coronavirus as of 5 July 2021. 

As per the novel coronavirus report shared by the Ministry of Health of the T&T island, on 5 July 2021 (4 pm), 127 new positive cases have been reported on the Caribbean island, taking the total number of the active cases of the COVID-19 to 6,417. 

The health ministrys’ report further informs that in total, 899 patients died in Trinidad and Tobago amid the ongoing deadly COVID-19 virus, while a total of 354 patients are still in the hospital facilities. 

A total of 118 patients are in the step-down facilities, around 222 patients are in the state-quarantine facilities, and a total of 5,818 individuals have isolated themselves at their respective homes amid the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the data shared in the report of the health ministry of T&T. 

So far, as of 5 July 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 219,964 individuals have received their first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine, where as in total, 120,059 people have received their second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly coronavirus. 

If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 234,888 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which 98,839 COVID-19 tests were conducted at the private healthcare facilities. In contrast, 136,049 people were tested at the public healthcare facilities for the novel coronavirus. 

The Health Ministry further informed in their report that the samples of these new 127 COVID-19 positive cases were taken between 1 July to 4 July 2021.
