T&T records 181 new COVID cases, 5,783 total active cases

As per the report, there are 5,783 total active cases in the nation rise to In comparison, a total of 30,256 individuals have been recovered from the contagious COVID-19 virus.

In contrast, around 314 people are still in the hospital. The Health Ministry further informed in the report that a total of 1026 patients have died on the Caribbean island as of 23 July 2021. 

According to a total of 76 patients in the step-down facilities, around 106 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities. A total of 5,212 individuals have isolated themselves at their respective homes amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as per the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T. 

So far, as of 23 July 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 308,661 individuals have received their first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 179,382 individuals have received their second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19. 

If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 258,401 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which 149,018 COVID-19 tests were conducted at private healthcare facilities. In contrast, 147,968 people were tested at the public healthcare facilities for the novel coronavirus. 

The Health Ministry further informed in their report that the samples of these new 181 COVID-19 positive cases were taken between 19 July to 22 July 2021. 

As per the report, since the COVID-19 pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 37,065 cases of the deadly virus.
