T&T records 123 new COVID cases

As per the report, there are 5,558 total active cases in the nation. In comparison, a total of 36,185 individuals have been recovered from the contagious COVID-19 virus. 

Trinidad and Tobago: Trinidad and Tobago island have reported 123 new cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 21 August 2021, as per the report of the Health Ministry. 

As per the report, there are 5,558 total active cases in the nation. In comparison, a total of 36,185 individuals have been recovered from the contagious COVID-19 virus. 

In total, around 303 people are still in the hospital. The Health Ministry further informed in the report that a total of 1,219 patients have died on the Caribbean island as of 21 August 2021.

According to the report, there are a total of 107 patients in the step-down facilities, around 133 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities. A total of 5,025 individuals have isolated themselves at their respective homes amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as per the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T. 

So far, as of 21 August 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 479,626 individuals have received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 364,579 individuals have welcomed their second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19.  

As per the statistics, 3,059 adults have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas 3,621 people have received the first jab between the age group of 12-18 years. A total of 8,757 adults are fully vaccinated now. 

If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 296,516 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus. As per the report, since the COVID-19 pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 42,962 cases of the deadly virus.
