T&T COVID update: 71 new cases while so far, 36,468 patients recovered

As per the report, there are 5,340 total active cases in the nation. In comparison, a total of 36,468 individuals have been recovered from the contagious COVID-19 virus. 

Trinidad and Tobago: Trinidad and Tobago island have reported 71 new cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 22 August 2021, as per the report of the Health Ministry. 

As per the report, there are 5,340 total active cases in the nation. In comparison, a total of 36,468 individuals have been recovered from the contagious COVID-19 virus. 

In total, around 303 people are still in the hospital. The Health Ministry further informed in the report that a total of 1,225 patients have died on the Caribbean island as of 22 August 2021.

According to the report, there are a total of 99 patients in the step-down facilities, around 129 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities. A total of 4,867 individuals have isolated themselves at their respective homes amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as per the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T. 

So far, as of 22 August 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 483,269 individuals have received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 367,691 individuals have welcomed their second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19.  

As per the report, since the COVID-19 pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 43,033 cases of the deadly virus.

If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 296,840 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which around 126,522 individuals have been tested at the private facilities, whereas the remaining tests were conducted at public healthcare facilities.
