Trinidad and Tobago: Trinidad and Tobago island have reported 155 new cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 19 August 2021, as per the report of the Health Ministry.
As per the report, there are 5,768 total active cases in the nation. In comparison, a total of 35,606 individuals have been recovered from the contagious COVID-19 virus.
In total, around 318 people are still in the hospital. The Health Ministry further informed in the report that a total of 1,208 patients have died on the Caribbean island as of 19 August 2021. According to the report, there are a total of 96 patients in the step-down facilities, around 102 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities.
A total of 5,199 individuals have isolated themselves at their respective homes amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as per the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T.
So far, as of 19 August 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 467,029 individuals have received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 346,441 individuals have welcomed their second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19.
As per the statistics, 1,799 adults have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas 3,702 people have received the first jab between the age group of 12-18 years. A total of 7,171 adults are fully vaccinated now.
If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 294,951 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus.
In their report, the Health Ministry further informed that the new 155 COVID-19 positive cases were taken between 15 August and 18 August 2021.
As per the report, since the COVID-19 pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 42,427 cases of the deadly virus.
