Tropical wave to bring showers, thunderstorms in Barbados

Tropical wave is just east of the Windward Islands. It will bring some areas of showers and isolated thunderstorms later today in Barbados and tonight in rest of the Windwards from Martinique south till first half of Saturday.

Weather: Tropical wave is just east of the Windward Islands. It will bring some areas of showers and isolated thunderstorms later today in Barbados and tonight in rest of the Windwards from Martinique south till first half of Saturday.

ITCZ extension is already bringing occasional showers to Trinidad and Grenada. There is modest upper level support, so a chance for a few periods of showers and rain to be heavy.

A central Atlantic tropical wave will bring some showers to Lesser Antilles late Sunday to first half of Monday. It does not have much convection for now as it is involved with Saharan air layer.

Partly cloudy/ at times cloudy conditions with occasional showers over some areas. There is a 40% (medium) chance some of these showers could become heavy and or thundery at times. Conditions will likely continue overnight.

Gusty winds and street flooding can occur in the event of heavy showers or thunderstorms. Saharan dust is present in the atmosphere. Sensitive persons are advised to take necessary precautions.
