Trinidad & Tobago reports 412 new COVID-19 cases

A total of 412 people have been exposed to the viral infection caused by the novel coronavirus within the past 24 hours in Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, as per the ministry of wellness and the elderly affairs.

A total of 412 people have been exposed to the viral infection caused by the novel coronavirus within the past 24 hours in Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, as per the ministry of wellness and the elderly affairs.

With the emergence of new cases in the country, the toll of the confirmed cases of the COVID-19 has increased to 121,683 on Wednesday.

A total of 610,993 samples have been processed with the COVID-19 testing method against the SARS-CoV-2 on Wednesday, and out of the 278, 340 tests have been processed at the private facilities, on the other hand, 332 653 tests have been processed at the public facilities on Wednesday.

As per the status of the deaths, a total of nine people have lost their lives due to the viral infection of the novel coronavirus, and out of them, four were elderly males, one elderly female, and four were middle-aged.

Since the pandemic has emerged in the country, a total of 3,544 people have succumbed to the viral infection of the novel coronavirus in Trinidad and Tobago.

As per the statics of the recovery, a total of 97,007 people have been recovered from the COVID-19 viral illness, out of which 41 people have been discharged from the hospital facilities, while 691 people have been discharged from community cases.

The toll of the active cases of the novel coronavirus stood at 21,132 in Trinidad and Tobago.

As per the status of the vaccination, a total of 701,201 people have received the first shot of the vaccine against the viral infection of the COVID-19 pandemic and are partially vaccinated.

On the other hand, a total of 698,799 people have received the required number of doses of the vaccine against the viral infection of the COVID-19 pandemic and are fully vaccinated.

The toll of the booster shot has increased to 14,535 so far in Trinidad and Tobago.
