Trinidad and Tobago registers 592 new COVID cases, 28 new deaths in last 24hrs

Trinidad and Tobago: Trinidad and Tobago recorded 592 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the active caseload to 8,491. Recently the Health Ministry has released the data in the Covid updation report of 20th November 2021.

The active caseload stands at 8,491. In comparison, a total of 55,047 individuals have been recovered from this contagious COVID-19 virus. Nearly 510 people are still admitted to the hospital. The Health Ministry also highlighted in the report that a total of 1,947 patients have died on the island as of 20th November 2021.

According to the report, there is a total of 109 patients present in the step-down facilities, around 92 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities. A total of 7,280 people on the island have isolated them at their respective residences during the COVID-19 pandemic, as per the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T.

The Government has vaccinated 637,017 people with one dose of vaccine, while a total of 634,513 people have been fully vaccinated on the island.

Till now, vaccines administered by the Ministry of Health:
120,100 AstraZeneca Oxford vaccine
408,228 got Sinopharm vaccine
108,689 doses of Pfizer
40,570 Johnson & Johnson.

In Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 67 people have been discharged from the public health facilities, and nearly 182 are listed in recovered community cases.

The recovered community cases are characterized as the one who were affected by the COVID-19 virus, after which they were in self-isolation, and the time they reach the discharge criteria, they will be officially released from self-isolation under the Government guidelines. In the last 24 hrs, T&T recorded 28 additional death on the island.
