Trinidad and Tobago: Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service issued Hazardous Seas Alert and the country is now at Yellow Level and remains in effect until Wed, Dec 28, 2022 12:00 PM.

Description: Large breaking waves above 2.5 metres, due to the moderate low level winds, have been observed along north-exposed coastlines of Trinidad and Tobago. Choppy conditions are also likely especially along northern facing coastlines. Impacts have decreased significantly but caution is still advised for all marine interests.

Instructions: Sea bathers, fishermen, small craft operators, and other coastal interests should continue to exercise caution along the coast. Follow the instructions of lifeguards. Monitor official news sources.

Synopsis: A moderate to fresh trade wind flow, generated by a strong Atlantic high pressure system, will continue to transport pockets of low level moisture across the area which could lead to a moderate chance for shower activity over and around the islands occasionally during the next 24 hours.

Weather tonight: Partly cloudy skies with a 60 percent or moderate chance of brief passing showers.

Weather tomorrow: Partly cloudy skies with a 50 percent or moderate chance of brief passing morning showers, becoming partly sunny in general with very little shower activity thereafter.

Winds: East at 22 to 33 km/h or 14 to 21 mph, reaching as high as 50 km/h or 31 mph during showers, as well as over open waters and in elevated areas..

Seas: 2.1 to 3.1 metres or 7 to 10 feet, with swells reaching as high as 2.1 metres or 7 feet. Therefore, small craft and high surf advisories remain firmly in place mainly for coastal waters north and east of the islands.

Synopsis: A moderate to fresh wind flow will continue to transport patches and bands of moisture across the region. Some of the moisture could will trigger few passing showers across the area. Meanwhile northerly swells will continue to affect the area.
