Holi is the festival of colours, which represents the triumph of good over evil and is celebrated every year, especially in India.

As per mythological history, the cultural festival is recognized as the wining of good over evil. Hirankashph, a renowned king, have been survived by a kid named Prahlad, who was a great worshiper of God Shiv.

He was always busy worshipping Lord Shiva, but his father did not accept this. His father always thought he was a god and that his son had not honoured him.

But Prahlad has never accepted this and always worshipped Lord shiva. So, in the rage of anger, he called his sister Holika, who had been gifted by God that she would be brunt.

So, that’s why she took up Prahlad and sat on the laps of fire and got burnt. Prahlad left unburnt as he remembered God every time.

This is why people celebrate Holi by remembering Prahlad and his worship.

The festival is primarily prominent in India and among the Hindu community. People celebrated Holi by pouring different-different colours on each other. So, the festival is especially known as a festival of colours.
