Tourism Ministry introduces Miss Montserrat 2022 Delegate – Sonia-Gale Cabey

Montserrat: The Caribbean country will host Miss Montserrat 2022 Contestant amid the 60th carnival 2022. The government also introduced Miss Montserrat 2022 Delegate – Sonia-Gale Cabey.

A 21-year-old Scorpio goddess, Sonia-Gale Cabey was born on the exceedingly beautiful island of the Emerald Isle with Jamaican and Montserratian heritage.

Her primary education began at the Look Out Primary School, and she then moved to Montserrat Secondary School. After five years of hard work and determination, Sonia-Gale obtained 7 O’Level

passes.

With perseverance to further her education, Sonia-Gale decided to attend Montserrat Community College and after two years was awarded her natural science associate degree, where she earned nine A’ Level passes.

She is currently employed with the Ministry of Education as a temporary Chemistry teacher and through this gracious opportunity, her love for Chemistry blossomed.

 Through her love for the subject, she has decided to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a minor in education at the University of the West Indies.

In her younger years, Cabey entered the St. John’s Action Club Princess Show in 2009 and walked away with all segments except best dress. So, she is no stranger to the open stage of pageantry.

Her favourite quote is from Former First Lady Michelle Obama: “You’ve got to make choices that make sense for you because there’s always going to be somebody who’ll think you should do something differently.”

She likes sitting at the beach while the sun sets, or the moon and stars are seen etched perfectly in the sky as the waves crash in shore as it gives her a sense of peace and calm.

This Miss Montserrat delegate also loves spending time with friends and family and enjoying life as it comes.’
