Shemina Peroune is a 20-year-old Aeronautical Engineering Student whose passion lies in advocating for women’s equity and empowerment, martial arts, and volunteering at youth basketball in Guyana.

Guyana can expect Shemina to use this pageant to amplify her voice, as her focus is to become another one of Guyana’s ambassadors for change, cultural promotion and empowerment for all.

Though the girls Quissieana Odle, Lisa Hassan and Tamasha Oxford did not make it to the top 5, the visitors saw their stellar performance, and they are proud of their growth as their journey continues.

Last evening, the reigning Miss East Coast-Nikeesha Baksh, attended the Coronation for the Miss Guyana Culture Queen pageant, orchestrated by the Great Randy Madray. She was thrilled with the entire pageant from the decor to spectacular routines and execution.

The pageant production was truly amazing – a spectacular showcase of beauty, talent, and grace that left the audience in awe. From the stunning costumes to the breathtaking performances, every aspect of the production was meticulously crafted to create a truly unforgettable experience.

The contestants were all outstanding, and their dedication and hard work were evident in every moment of the show. The Miss Guyana Culture Queen pageant was nothing short of an extravagant showcase of Guyanese culture.

The MGC Committee, led by Randy Madray, has staged an awesome production. Along with that, Eloquent Guyana Inc. efficiently delivers communication solutions for the coronation ceremony.

Shemina Peroune reigns with dignity and national pride as she represents Guyana at the Miss Caribbean Culture Queen pageant. The Miss Guyana Culture Queen 2023, Shemina Peroune, first runner-up, Jasmaine Assanah, and second runner-up, Denica Henry, are having brunch at the Windjammer Cuisine and Comfort Inn.

The gown of Shemina Peroune for the Miss Culture Queen pageant has captured the richness of the soil and the cultural diversity of the people. The dress has incorporated the traditional African head wrap, the Indian Sari, the European silhouette and indigenous symbols of their first people that represented their language, hunting, fishing, and way of life, all cut out in leather at the back of the gown.

Shemina Peroune carried the gown dubbed BEST EVENING WEAR by Shasha Designs with such elegance.
