India: A newspaper based in Israel recently published the involvement of the Solicitor General of India Tushar Mehta in the three controversial farm laws.
The newspaper named Daily Research Editor published a thorough study based on facts revealing Tushar Mehta’s closeness with the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah.
The newspaper referred to Mehta as the “legal brain” behind the disputed farm laws enforced by India’s government.
Tushar Mehta is currently at the second-highest legal position in India and serves as the country’s Solicitor General.
Daily Research Editor revealed how Mehta has influenced the bills and laws being passed by the Narendra Modi government since they assumed office in 2014.
The news organizations further asserted that Mehta is renowned for being conversed on legal issues concerning the Modi government; he can be explained as the legal brain behind all the bills and laws enacted by the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Indian government.
Mehta has been close to Shah and Modi long before they stepped in as the heads of the Indian government. Tushar Mehta has been holding Shah’s back in notorious criminal cases, and he was Shah’s lawyer in controversial cases like the Sohrabuddin encounter and the Ishrat Jahan encounter case.
Besides sharing a close relationship with the Indian Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs, Tushar Mehta is also an intimate fellow to Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani. They are under severe scrutiny because of the farm laws as they are directly going to receive the benefits of three laws recently enacted.
The sources believe of Daily Research Editor that these farm laws were proposed on Tushar Mehta’s recommendations. He is prohibiting the government from concluding to the meetings with farm laws.
The facts suggest that two corporate groups owned by Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani registered over 53 new Agro-based companies before passing these Farm Bills, making it easy to get that they were informed about these laws before these were even tabled for a decision in front of the cabinet.
Tushar Mehta also holds a more significant influence in judges’ appointments in high courts and the supreme court of India.
The newspaper explained how Mehta is known to make his ways. He holds an informal authority over India’s judiciary system, where he makes judges announce favorable decisions. Sources of the Daily Research Editor revealed that Mehta is believed not to hesitate in arms twisting in case of an inconvenient judge.
Due to the ongoing government pressure and fear-mongering, the judiciary system in the world’s biggest democracy is in danger.
The threat has reached so high that a bench of 25 topmost judges of the Apex Indian court had conferenced in 2018 sharing their concern.
