St Kitts and Nevis: The Ministry of Social Development and Gender Affairs and the Embassy of the Republic of China- Taiwan have jointly made efforts to enhance the measures of taking empowering women as they launched the training courses for hairstyling for women in St Kitts and Nevis on Friday, March 18, 2022. It is a three-week training programme to uplift women’s economic empowerment in the country.

In addition to the several other measures in uplifting the women empowerment programme, the Taiwan Embassy, in collaboration with the Minister of Gender Affairs of Federation, has launched another training course.

The training courses have been launched under the Women Employment, Empowerment and Financial Inclusion Project. The project was started in March.

Taiwan Embassy in St Kitts and Nevis stated, “Another training course under the Women Employment, Empowerment & Financial Inclusion Project started in March”.

As per the information of the embassy, a total of thirty-eight trainees of Beauty Entrepreneurship Training have been participating in a three-week training for hair styling.

“Thirty-eight trainees of Beauty Entrepreneurship Training are participating in a 3-week training course for hairstyling and having a bad hair day? Not these ladies. Look how much fun they were having”, underscored the embassy.

Moreover, various photos in the social post showed the training programme in which they showed how women have been indulged in getting trained with the skills of hairstyling.

Further, Ambassador Micheal Lin to St Kitts and Nevis and Minister of Gender Affairs of Federation Eugene Hamilton were also present at the training programme and showed their support as always in the measures taken to uplift the women’s employment.

The embassy to St Kitts and Nevis stated that the efforts to uplift women’s employment would continue to facilitate women’s economic empowerment in St Kitts and Nevis.

It affirmed, “The joint efforts of the Embassy and Ministry of Social Development and Gender Affairs will continue under the Women Employment, Empowerment and Financial Inclusion Project to facilitate women economic empowerment in St. Kitts and Nevis”.
