interCaribbean Airways to begin services from Providenciales (Provo) to Antigua

interCaribbean Airways announced the new services from Providenciales, Turks, and Caicos to the Eastern Caribbean.

interCaribbean Airways announced the new flights from Havana (Cuba) to Providenciales Turks and Caicos, and onward connections to Nassau and the Eastern Caribbean- Antigua, Barbados, Georgetown in Guyana, Dominica, Saint Lucia, St Vincent and Grenada.

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit met with the representatives after a courtesy call at the office of the prime minister. He took to Facebook and shared the update and glimpses of the meeting. 

Weather: Eastern Caribbean to witness fast-moving showers, breezy conditions

A shear line is causing some fast-moving showers across the Windwards Islands. It has weak support from an upper trough.

Weather: Eastern Caribbean to witness chance of tropical or subtropical storm 

NHC has 50% chance of tropical or subtropical storm development, within next 48 hours. The system will then hit cooler water and become even more energized with an upper trough.

Weather: Eastern Caribbean to witness showers, flood watch in effect 

Surface trough with areas of eastward moving showers(few heavy) extends over the Leewards from a complex developing low pressure to the north and northeast.

Weather: Skies to remain cloudy across Eastern Caribbean, heavy thunderstorms possible

Mid-upper trough has weakened and moved west over the central Caribbean Sea/Central Venezuela whilst an upper equatorial ridge has built over NE South America and the islands.

Weather: Eastern Caribbean witnesses heavy showers causing localized flooding 

A few moderate to heavy showers affected the southern islands today, especially in Trinidad, where there was localized flooding. This should continue into Thursday and the first part of Friday.

Weather: Moderate to strong thunderstorm clusters bring heavy rainfall across Eastern Caribbean 

Overnight to morning, moderate to strong thunderstorm clusters formed east of Trinidad and Tobago, bringing some heavy showers and long periods of rain. This continued to add to already occuring flash and river flooding.
