Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia Ernest Hilaire attended Independence National Baton Relay that commenced Yesterday, February 05, 2023, in the governorate of Castries South of the nation under the theme of 'keeping the nation together'.

Saint Lucia welcomed the Norwegian Encore to Port Castries for the first time. The ship carried a total of 3,998 guests and 1,735 crew on December 29, 2022. 

Ernest Hilaire- Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, announced the schedule of the Christmas celebration 2022 for the Castries South.

Saint Lucia hosted the "Show the World" to showcase the local talent of the country in the field of Music.

Saint Lucia welcomed the first boat across the line, Malolo, in the 37th edition of the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) from Grand Canaria to the shores of the country

It was the first time, Dr Hilaire was able to sit back and watch the carnival parade of bands. The bands such as Xuvo, Fuzion, or Legends create vibrant and authentic views of the magnificent beauty of the culture of Saint Lucia. 

Hilaire peened down his expression on social media and stated that it was amazing to be part of the competition after two years of hiatus.
