T&T reports new 112 COVID cases; 1,237 patients died so far

As per the report, there are 5,191 total active cases in the nation. In comparison, a total of 36,717 individuals have been recovered from the contagious COVID-19 virus. 

Trinidad and Tobago: Trinidad and Tobago island have reported 112 new cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 23 August 2021, as per the report of the Health Ministry. 

As per the report, there are 5,191 total active cases in the nation. In comparison, a total of 36,717 individuals have been recovered from the contagious COVID-19 virus. 

In total, around 301 people are still in the hospital. The Health Ministry further informed in the report that a total of 1,237 patients have died on the Caribbean island as of 23 August 2021.

According to the report, there are a total of 99 patients in the step-down facilities, around 128 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities. A total of 4,679 individuals have isolated themselves at their respective homes amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as per the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T. 

So far, as of 23 August 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 486,399 individuals have received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 369,324 individuals have welcomed their second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19.  

As per the report, since the COVID-19 pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 43,145 cases of the deadly virus.

If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 297,206 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which around 126,522 individuals have been tested at private facilities, whereas the remaining tests were conducted at public healthcare facilities.
