St Lucia to host hero CPL in 2022 season in September

The matches of the Hero CPL took place in various Caribbean countries as Trinidad and Tobago and St Kitts and Nevis hosted the 2020 and 2021 seasons, respectively, which includes the COVID-19 pandemic that is needed to play in one country.

Castries, St Lucia: The Caribbean country is all set to host the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in its country in the 2022 season. The information has been confirmed by the Hero Caribbean Premier League that St Luca will be the country that is going to host all the matches in 2022. 

After hosting the Hero CPL Matches, St Lucia will become one of the four countries that have organized the matches in their country. 

Reportedly, the CPL will be commenced at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground in Beausejour. 

The matches of the Hero CPL took place in various Caribbean countries as Trinidad and Tobago and St Kitts and Nevis hosted the 2020 and 2021 seasons, respectively, which includes the COVID-19 pandemic that is needed to play in one country. 

The authorities further stated that For the 2022 season of the CPL, the plan is to move around the region again this time. The authorities have decided on three venues used that will be used for the group stages and another selected for the finals. 

Further, the hero CPL tournament will be taken place from August 30 to September 30. The Patriots of St Kitts and Nevis are looking forward to defending the title they won in 2021. 

Pete Russell, Hero CPL’s CEO, said: “We are very happy to declare that we will be back in St Lucia in 2022, and we are very thankful to the government of the Caribbean island for supporting working with us to organize and make this happen.

St Lucia has been such a great part of the Hero CPL story. We are also going to enter our 10th season, and we are happy to go back to the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground this year.”

The pandemic has contained major sporting events across the globe, so that’s why we are happy to be able to welcome back a prestigious tournament after a two hiatus years of the pandemic.”
