Castries, St Lucia: St Lucia Tourism Authority has recently participated in the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) Conference and Trade Show. The officials from the Tourism Authority of St Lucia continued their work to position and build the destination across the globe.
St Lucia has been represented by Guibion Ferdinand- Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture, and Information. The entire team of St Lucia conducted meetings and interactions with top-level cruise executives.
St Lucia authorities have also continued their dialogue on the various plans which will enhance the tourism sector. They also welcomed and increased cruise arrivals and expanded the enchanting product offerings of the island.
The high-level conference took place at the Puerto Rico Convention Centre. The conference was held from June 1 to June 3, 2022. St Lucia also allowed industry leaders in various networks to share ideas, examine best practices and establish business initiatives.
Further, In April, a total of an eleven-member delegation participated in the Seatrade Crusie Global Conference in Miami, where St Lucia was committed to delivering various memorable experiences. These experiences make cruising one of the great ways to appreciate the destination.
St Lucia is known for it’s natural beauty, including the famous Piton mountains surrounded by the crystal clear water of the Caribbean. It’s a picture perfect paradise.
resh off the heels of record-breaking visitor arrivals in March, Saint Lucia has recorded another progressive month, with April 2022 surpassing optimistic visitor arrival projections by 30%.
Year-to-date, the US Market recorded 12% more visitors than in April 2019. Arrivals from the UK were up 14% when compared to the corresponding period and the Caribbean market recorded its highest number of arrivals since the resumption of intra-regional travel.
In recent weeks, the destination has been the focus of several international productions, continued media visits, and was topical at events across North America including Seatrade Cruise Global, Travel and Adventure Shows in Denver, Texas, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Canada.
