Castries, St Lucia: Prime Minister of St Lucia and Minister for Finance, Economic Development, and the Youth Economy Philip J Pierre will present the Appropriations Bill 2022/23 in the House of Assembly on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.
Reportedly, Prime Minister Pierre will be tabled his first Budget Address as the Prime Minister of St Lucia during the sitting of the House of Assembly.
The much and highly awaited budget address will be aired on the National Television Network (NTN), and it is the social media pages of the government of St Lucia at around 5: 00 PM. It will also be aired on radio via Rhythm FM 95.5.
The timing of the Appropriations Bill will begin on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at around 9: 00 am.
The debate on the Appropriation Bill will be run until Friday, April 29, 2022, and the government of St Lucia has encouraged the public to stay tuned in to three-day proceedings in which the information and details of every plan will be transmitted that will be used to economy and empower its citizens during the tough times.
Earlier, Prime Minister Philip J Pierre also shared some highlights of the budget for 2022-23.
Prime Minister Philip J Pierre shares an update on the budget, which was presented by him last week. He has informed that it was his first estimate for Revenue and Expenditure as the Prime Minister of St Lucia.
