St Lucia imposes new COVID-19 restrictions | Read new protocols now

St Lucia: Following the consultations with stakeholders, the St Lucia government has made several changes to COVID-19 protocols, which will come into effect from start of the business day on Friday, September 3, to Tuesday, September 14, 2021.

According to new orders, the suspension of dine-in services at restaurants and food establishments will remain in effect, whereas, Take away (grab and go) and delivery services will be permitted.

Recreational or social activities at hotels will be permitted on the property during curfew hours, provided that such activities take place on the property. Water sports and other water-related activities such as boat rides, skiing et cetera must be suspended during the 24-hour weekend curfew, which will begin from Saturday 4 PM to Monday 4 AM.

The government has further announced the suspension of the sale and disposal of intoxicating liquor at bars, rum shops and restaurants. However, the sale and disposal of intoxicating liquor from a supermarket, gas station or wholesaler with a valid liquor license will be permitted. Notwithstanding, there will be no consumption of intoxicating liquor permitted on licensed premises.

A curfew will be implemented from Friday, September 3, beginning at 7 PM to 4 AM with the businesses establishments or offices ceasing operation at 6 PM. The curfew will be in effect from 4 PM to 4 AM with all ceasing operations at 3 PM on Saturday. And on Sunday there will be a 24 hour curfew.
