Saint Lucia: The St Lucia Labour Party is all set for the general elections of 2021. If we look at the ground reports, then the chances of the St Lucia Labour Party – SLP are far higher than the UWP.

The Leader of the SLP – Phillip J Pierre, is confident that the citizens of his party’s win the elections. The leader stated, “We are working and would continue to work for our people; that’s what our party is doing and will do “, putting you first.”

The leader also expressed his faith in the St Lucians and stated that the past five years haven’t been easy for St Lucians under the UWP govt, and people want a change. So far, in all the rallies and the meetings conducted by the SLP to meet people and to know the numerous issues they have been facing, the citizens have shown their enthusiasm.

The manifesto of the St Lucia Labour Party in itself shows the dedication and determination of the party in order to raise the living standard of the people and to make St Lucia a better place to live. The people have appreciated the manifesto of SLP.

One of the resident of St Lucia, John Douglas, stated, “We want to see SLP win. We have faith in them and want Phillip to lead our nation.”

In contrast, the UWP government is being criticized by the people, and they have decided not to cast their vote for the party this year. Earlier this week, the political advisor of the UWP party, while in talks with Associate Times, informed that there are very few chances for the UWP party to win again and make their government in St Lucia.

The Political Advisor (anonymity) further noted, as per the ground reports and polls, UWP, this time, will not be able to celebrate their win over more than three seats. He added that the UWP party is already aware of this, as he earlier had warned him.

St Lucians are now sensing the reality of the UWP government. As per the ground reality, the opinion of people leads to the conclusion that the government have not done much to develop the Caribbean island, because of which they do not see Allen Chastanet as their leader now.

The residents of St Lucia is having the power in their hands, while all the eyes are on the election day. It’s the right of citizens to cast their vote and to choose their representative.
