In St Lucia, new COVID-19 protocols have been declared by Moses Jn Baptiste, Minister of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs. The recent changes would come in effect from 1 October 2021 and would last till 15 October 2021. boat rides and water skiing at a certified accommodation provider would remain suspended while the curfew hours will remain in effect.

According to the new changes, the Government would only permit fully vaccinated individuals for in-dine services. The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Tourism approved this one of the new changes.

Regarding business operations, the businesses would be stopping their operations on Friday 1 October 2021 at 7 pm to Saturday 2 October 2021 at 4 am. On 2 October 2021, operations would be closed from 7 pm to Tuesday 5 October 2021 at 4 am. The curfew or no movement days would extend from – Saturday 2 October from 7 pm, all day – Sunday, all day Monday up to – Tuesday 5 October at 4 am.

The businesses would be permitted to operate till 5 pm and will close from 6 pm to 4 am every day from 5 – 8 October 2021. On Saturday 9 October 2021, from 3 pm to Monday 11th October 2021, the businesses have to close their operations. From 11 – 15 October 2021, businesses will close from 6 pm to 4 am each day.

The Government suspended the sale and disposal of the intoxicating liquor. The intoxicating liquor would only be permitted for being used in making hand sanitisers. The manufacture is for sale outside of Saint Lucia.

The sale and disposal of intoxicating liquor by the supermarket, gas stations and consuming it in public places would not be permitted. An individual can consume the intoxicating liquor on the licensed premises.

Recreational activities such as boat rides and water skiing at a certified accommodation provider are suspended during the curfew hours are waved on Sunday 3 October 2021, Monday the 4 October 2021 and Sunday the 10 October 2021.
