Castries, St Lucia: Caribbean Marketing Team at the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, Caribcation, embarked on an in-market campaign in the French West Indian island of Martinique, on Friday, June 10th, 2022.
Presenting Saint Lucia with the opportunity to reconnect with one of its key source markets, the team hosted a networking event at Sunset, Fort-de-France, that brought together trade partners, mainstream media partners and social media influencers.
Special focus was placed on the bespoke accommodations program ‘Collection de Pe’-pites’ and Saint Lucia Carnival. Collection de Pe’pites was designed to feature a broad range of one-of-a-kind island jewels, including local B&Bs, boutiques, inns and luxury villas that may not be as well-known as the larger hotels and resorts.
These properties will afford travellers the opportunity to explore and discover culture, culinary and wellness experiences within these unique accommodations.
A trendy Saint Lucia Carnival party, held on June 11th at the Rooftop, featured guest appearances from Saint Lucia’s very own DJ Hollywood HP and Ezra the Fun Machine. Attendees savoured a taste of what can be expected for the highly anticipated Lucian Carnival season, which commences on July 7th and culminates on July 20th, 2022.
he North America ‘Summer Saint Lucia Style’ roadshow got underway in New York City on June 7th and Toronto on June 9th, presenting Saint Lucia to the travel trade, consumer and travel media, and key diaspora leadership audiences.
Leading the delegation is the Chief Executive Officer of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, Lorine Charles St. Jules. She is joined by the Senior Sales Manager with responsibility for North America – Richard Moss and Sales Manager- Ernie George. In New York, the keynote address was delivered by the guest of honor and Minister with responsibility for Tourism, – Dr. Ernest Hilaire.
The well-attended New York and Toronto events presented newsworthy updates on the destination, a comprehensive outlook on Saint Lucia’s response amid the pandemic, ongoing and future developments, Saint Lucia’s rich cultural offerings, and a literal taste of Saint Lucia with Chairman’s Reserve rum.
Among industry partners, The Authority welcomed the presence of American Airlines in New York, Air Canada Vacations, and Sunwing in Toronto.
