Castries, St Lucia: As St Lucia has witnessed a huge surge in the cases of the COVID-19 pandemic, the government of the country has become cautious in containing the situation of the pandemic. 

On a daily basis, the country recorded a significant number of cases of the COVID-19, and that’s why the government asked the citizens to remain vigilant and follow the necessary infection. The necessary measure should be adopted to contain the spread of the infection and protect the country from the virus. 

After conducting the necessary discussion, the Cabinet of St Lucia has decided to continue all the current protocols for the period Saturday, June 4, 2022, to Friday, July 1, 2022. 

Here are the current protocols related to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

  • People who are national, resident or non-national and are fully vaccinated arriving in St Lucia will not have to undergo quarantine or require COVID-19 tests, proving they have all valid vaccination records. 
  •  People who are unvaccinated shall submit valid PCR tests, which are taken within five days before their arrival in the country. 
  • People must be placed in quarantine at a quarantine facility or at their homes in wake to protect the health of the people and their close ones. 
  • People are allowed to host or attend any social event or recreational activity, providing the gatherings consist of not more than two hundred persons or his or her immediate family or fully immunized people.
  • Moreover, people who have the approval of the National Emergency Management Organization are allowed to host or attend a social event or any other activity that consists of more than two hundred but not more than three hundred fully immunised people against the COVID-19 pandemic. 
  • All other protocols which were revised last time will remain in effect for the period.
