St Kitts and Nevis: St Kitts and Nevis welcomed the first inaugural call for the 2022/23 cruise season into port Zante of the country after the commencement of the season on Wednesday, November 09, 2022.
The Carnival Spirit, the first vessel of the Carnival fleet to the destination for the 2022-2023 St. Kitts Cruise Season, graced the shores of the country earlier this morning, Wednesday, November 09 2022.
Minister of Tourism of St Kitts and Nevis- Marsha Henderson led a contingent comprised of representatives from the cruise agent – Delisle Walwyn and other Cruise-Tourism-related representatives, including SCASPA, on board the vessel for a brief plaque exchange ceremony.
During the ceremony, Henderson highlighted the long-standing relationship the destination has had with the Carnival Corporation and expressed gratitude for Carnival Spirit making St.Kitts part of its itinerary.
To climax the ships visit, the contingent received a guided tour of the ships’ exquisite restaurants, entertainment lounges, spas and shopping centres.
Besides its maiden call today, Carnival Spirit is expected to return to the federation for two additional visits for the year 2022.
For the month of November, the federation is expected to receive six (6) inaugural calls inclusive of the largest cruise vessel in the world——Wonder of the Seas on November 24.
St. Kitts welcomes the inaugural voyage of “Carnival Spirit.” As a veteran in the cruise industry, Carnival Spirit was launched on July 07 2000, under the ownership of Caribbean Cruise Line.
The cruise ship offers dynamic experiences satisfying its guests’ excitement and relaxation needs. The vessel houses a mini-golf course, a two-deck fitness centre, a jogging track, swimming pools, and a spa.
Carnival Spirit voyages to St. Kitts for its maiden cruise call. The cruise season continues to prosper with the increase of inaugural cruise calls journeying to the destination. Today marks the first cruise call from Carnival Corp for the 2022-2023 cruise season.
