St Kitts and Nevis: St Kitts and Nevis is all set to collect the departure fee for the flights of LIAT at the Robert L Bradshaw International Airport directly. The decision will come into effective on Sunday (October 1, 2023).

In a press release, the government of St Kitts and Nevis announced that the departure fee of EC$100.00 or US$37.00 per passenger will no longer form part of LIAT’s ticket price.

As per the new update, the passengers who are travelling from the service of LIAT on or after October 1, 2023 will have to preset their ticket, boarding pass, and passport at the counter at the Airport Finance Office.

The submission of the documents will be made on the day of travel. The government said that the passengers who have already booked their tickets for LIAT will be exempted from payment at the airport.

The travellers who paid the departure fee as part of the ticket price will also be included in the category.

However, the passengers who have not yet brought the tickets will be required to make payment via cash or card. In order to get more information and clarification regarding the matter, the travellers will have to contact the Airport Operations Department.

The following taxes will be paid directly to the Robert L Bradshaw International Airport of St Kitts and Nevis on the day of travel:

  • The price of the Airport Enhancement Facilitation- US$12.00
  • Airport Charge- US$22.00
  • Envionmental Levy- US$3.0

Besides this, the airline also announced the payment of the departure fees for several other nations included British Virgin Islands, St Maarten and St Vincent and the Grenadines. Further, it also announced that the CDC will also become the requirement for the travellers travelling to the United States Virgin Island.

LIAT service to St Kitts and Nevis

LIAT is the regional carrier of the Caribbean as it provides service between the countries including Dominica, St Kitts and Nevis, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados and Grenada.

The airline also announced its additional flights for numerous festivals such as World Creole Music Festival and Sugar Mas.

LIAT also provide daily non-stop service to St Kitts and Nevis. As of September 1, 2023, thousands of travellers visited the country through the service of the airline.
