St Kitts and Nevis: Takyla Hart-Johnson- Miss Verchilds High School won the Miss Republic Bank National Talented Teen Pageant held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 8 pm, at St Kitts Marriott Resort. The competition was part of the Sugar Mas 51 Carnival. 

The runners-up of the MISS REPUBLIC BANK NATIONAL TALENTED TEEN are:

  • First Runner Up- Miss Washington Archibald High School – Cajoy Issac
  • Second Runner Up- Miss Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College – Maleah Erskine
  • Third Runner Up- Miss Immaculate Conception Catholic School – Makaila Marfin

Diamond International has gifted a 14-carat diamond necklace from their unique collection to the winner of this year’s Republic Bank National Talented Teen. The exquisite piece of jewellery was handed over to Javon Liburd, Chair of the National Carnival Talented Teen Sub-Committee.

St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee and the Talented Teen Sub-Committee wish to thank Diamond International for their contribution to this luxurious gift. 

After the declaration of the results, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew extended greetings to the winners. He extends congratulations specifically to the Queen, Miss Tahyla Hart-Johnson, who captured the crown for Verchild’s High School, and to the runners-up, Miss Cajoy Isaac (1st-Runner Up) of the Washington Archsibald High School, Miss Maleah Erskine (2nd Runner Up) of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College, and Miss Mahaila Martin, hailing from Constituency #8, (3rd Runner Up) of the Immaculate Conception Catholic School.

“All ladies showcased their talent and bravery last evening at what was considered a historical Talented Teen Pageant. I would also like to express congratulations to the organizers of the event, chaired by Javon Liburd. You did an excellent job, “said the prime minister. 

Denzil Douglas- Foreign Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, also extended CONGRATULATIONS to All 8 Beautiful Teens who participated in the Miss Republic Bank Talented Teen Pageant last Night; they did Exceptionally well. 

She added, “Special Congratulations to the Winner, Tahyla Hart-Johnson of the Verchilds High School, and her Runners Up; Cajoy Isaac, Maleah Erskine and Mahaila Martin. You have taken pageantry a notch higher, and no doubt you’ll accomplish great things in the future. Well done to all; Organizers, Chaperones, Schools, Ambassadors and Parents.” 

Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College also took to social media and extended Congratulations to all Ambassadors who participated in the Miss Republic Bank National Talented Teen Pageant 2022. They all did fantastic work and deserved praise.

They extended congratulations to 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐡 𝐄𝐫𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐞 of Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College, who is the second Runner up. They especially acknowledge the effort, sweat, and tears put forth by her chaperone, parents, family, and friends. Continue aiming high and keep in mind our motto, “Ad Summa Semper Nitens”, 𝑨𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆. 

Denzil Douglas- Minister of Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis and cited that Last Night, December 20, 2022, eight ( young ladies took to the stage to represent their schools in the Miss Republic Bank National Talented Teen Pageant.

 He expressed, “I was blown away by the level of talent, creativity and intelligence displayed by each and every one of them, but I must say special congratulations to the winner Takyla Hart-Johnson of Verchilds High School, First Runner Up Cajoy Issac of Washington Archibald High School, Second Runner Up Maleah Erskine of Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College and Third Runner Up Makaila Martin of Immaculate Conception Catholic School.” 

Various people across the Federation added, “Congratulations to Miss Takyla Hart-Johnson, winner of the Republic Bank Talented Teen Pageant. Congratulations to ALL of the Teen Ambassadors (Queens) who graced the stage last Night.” 

The entire Federation has fallen in love with every one of you over the past three months, and we are so appreciative and thankful for what you have accomplished to date. 

The principals, staff, schools and communities for their overwhelming support for their queens. What a WOW experience. Thanks to Javon Liburd and his team for bringing this vision to life. Javon went HARD for this show. From reaching out to individual sponsors and facilitators to organizing special events to his coordination and execution.
