St Kitts-Nevis Labour Party held nationwide march with workers on Labour Day

Earlier, On Sunday, May 1, 2022, St Kitts- Nevis Labour Party called for the March and invited the citizens to join in extending their support to workers and labourers. 

St Kitts and Nevis: St Kitts-Nevis Labour Pary held a nationwide march and led thousands through the streets of Basseterre on the occasion of Labour Day. On Monday, May 2, 2022, the party, along with the workers and labours, came out wearing red colours to show solidarity and support for the Day. 

Earlier, On Sunday, May 1, 2022, St Kitts- Nevis Labour Party called for the March and invited the citizens to join in extending their support to workers and labourers. 

Reportedly, Dr Terrance Drew, Leader of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party, led thousands through the streets of Basseterre during the grandest Labour Day March ever seen. 

In the March, Workers of every type came out in their colours and joined the March. As per St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party, they have hosted the March under the theme- March for Better. The party further stated that citizens of the Federation speak out on the failures of the present administration regarding workers and demand that better be done.

Further, Dr Terrance Drew noted, “The St.Kitts-Nevis Labour Party is committed to the betterment of working conditions of all workers. This red wave clearly demonstrated that as we stand in solidarity on Labour Day (International Workers Day), our movement is on the move for the betterment of all workers under an SKNLP administration.”

He said that the party is always committed to the upliftment of the people and stands for the welfare of the workers of the country. 

Leader of St Kitts- Nevis Labour Part Denzil Douglas also said, “Labour is Large, and we red up the Streets on Labour day 2022. It was a massive Labour Day March 2022.” He added it is “a new day and a new way” for the workers of the Federation. 

The party has also shared some glimpses of March through their social media in which it could be seen they were Marching with all workers in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Douglas also asserted, “We’re thankful to God for another Day, Labour Day, to be alive and well, despite all that we’ve been through over the past 2-7 years, we’re still here. Happy Labour Day.”
