St Kitts and Nevis: The largest cruise vessel of Carnival Corp, “Arvia”, made its inaugural cruise call to St Kitts on Monday, January 30, 2023. The cruise made is a maiden call to Port Zante with a capacity of 5,200 guests and 1,800 crew members. 

Kittitian Heartbeat took to Facebook and shared glimpses of the arrival of a Cruise ship- Arviaand stated that the cruise docked to Port Zante. It noted, “Today, P&O cruise vessel “Arvia” made its inaugural cruise call to St Kitts. The Authority continues to honour inaugural cruise calls, representing the consistent growth of the destination’s cruise sector.” 

Arvia boasts of its excel class ship title operating with a capacity of 5,200 guests and 1,800 crew members. The cruise vessel measures 345m, 184,700 tons, and has 15 guest decks while offering a swim-up bar, fine-dining restaurants, multiple aqua-zones, and even an onboard blending rum class.

Earlier today (January 30), stakeholders in the tourism sector in St. Kitts warmly welcomed the arrival of the Arvia cruise vessel, which made its maiden call to Port Zante.

Local officials, including Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Tivanna Wharton; Chief Executive Officer of the St Kitts Tourism Authority, Ellison Thompson and Olonzo Alexander, Port Services Manager for Delisle Walwyn, boarded the ship for a brief plaque exchange ceremony with the ship’s Captain Paul Brown.

Arvia, which made its inaugural sail in December of last year, has a passenger capacity of 5,200.

The Florida Caribbean Cruise Association and its platinum members used this opportunity to share ideas and engage in strategic discussions to strengthen and foster existing partnerships with destinations and cruise line executives.
