St Kitts and Nevis: St Kitts National Youth Parliament Association hosted the Parliament sitting for youth Month, featuring the National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda for the first time. The inaugural sitting of the Joint Youth Assembly was held at the National Assembly Chambers of Government Headquarters on Friday.

The St Kitts National Youth Parliament Association (SKNYPA) also welcomed an eight-person delegation from the National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda to St Kitts and Nevis on Wednesday (November 23) afternoon.
The visiting youth parliamentarians are here to participate in the inaugural Sitting of the Joint Youth Assembly on Friday, November 25, 2022 at the National Assembly Chambers at Government Headquarters.
Three legislative items are expected to be tabled at Friday’s sitting: The Age of Majority (Amendment) Bill, 2022; a Resolution to Commission a Health Investigatory Select Committee; and a Resolution to Promote Integrity and Efficiency within the Civil Service.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Youth Empowerment, Dr Geoffrey Hanley and Junior Minister Isalean Phillip, both of whom are former youth Parliamentarians, were in attendance for portions of Friday’s sitting.
Earlier, Denzil Douglas- Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed the National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda.
