St Kitts and Nevis witness friendly bond between PM Drew and Premier Brantley during Taiwan’s National Day

Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew and Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley participated in the Republic of China (Taiwan)'s National Day Health Walk on October 8, 2022. Both leaders also extended warm wishes on the 111th National Day of Taiwan.

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew and Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley participated in the Republic of China (Taiwan)’s National Day Health Walk on October 8, 2022. Both leaders also extended warm wishes on the 111th National Day of Taiwan. 

The Republic of China (Taiwan) ‘s’s national day (Double Ten Day) will be celebrated on Monday, October 10 2022.

Prime Minister Terrance Drew expressed pleasure in participating in the health walk. In the same breath, Premier Mark Brantley took to social media and talked about friendly relations between St Kitts and Nevis and Taiwan. 

Ambassador of Taiwan Michael Lin, Alexis Heffers, Shawn Richards, Marsha Henderson, Dr Joyelle Clarke and Latoya Bianca Jones also attended the health walk. 

“Happy this morning to join Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew and HE Ambassador Michael Lin, along with Alexis Jeffers, Shawn Richards, Marsha Henderson, Dr Joyelle Clarke, and Latoya Bianca Jones, in wishing our dear friend #Taiwan a Happy 111th National Day. Taiwan is not just a friend to St Kitts and Nevis. Taiwan is our best friend, “the premier wrote.  

After the change in the administration on August 5, 2022, the citizens have been witnessing cordial and friendly relations between St Kitts and Nevis. St Kitts-Nevis Labour Party administration under the leadership of Dr Terrance Drew emerges as the ideal government for both the islands. 

PM Terrance Drew has been keeping Nevis along with St Kitts in every aspect of the development. During his address at the swearing-in ceremony for the Cabinet of Ministers, Dr Drew also pledged to be a Prime Minister for all the people, including the citizens and residents on the sister island of Nevis.

Recently, PM Drew also presented a cheque to Nevis Island Administration for an important capital project on Nevis. Premier Mark Brantley also extended gratitude to the prime minister and talked about the advancement of the people of St Kitts and Nevis. 

He also mentioned the friendly relations between the federal government and the Nevis island administration. Premier Brantley stated that he wished to publicly thank Prime Minister Dr Drew for his stated and demonstrated commitment to greater cooperation and for facilitating this significant contribution to the further development of Nevis and, by extension, the wider Federation.

Premier Brantley described his first meeting with PM Drew after the general elections as “an excellent first meeting” with him and noted that he looks forward to “working closely together to deliver sustainable development for our beloved country.”

Since now, various policies of both administrations have proved fruitful as they are working with a sense of togetherness. People across the nations appreciate the friendly relations between the two administrators. The friendly between the two leaders gives positive vibes to the people as they are excepting an efficient development path for the country as a whole.Â
