The government has banned the general public from accessing the ‘Travel Approved’ bubble vaccinated attraction sites to welcome Celebrity Equinox
Basseterre: In a bid to revive the cruise tourism in St Kitts and Nevis, the government has banned the general public from accessing the ‘Travel Approved’ bubble vaccinated attraction sites, including Port Zante from 6 am to 6 pm as the Celebrity Equinox will arrive on the ports of the Federation.
The cruise ship will be anchored at Port Zante. To ensure the safety and health of the general public, the government has directed that all cruise passengers will only be permitted to explore the destinations designated under the Travel Approved Bubble.
The cruise passengers will interact with fully vaccinated tour operators, seaport officials and any other cruise-related personnel who are authorized by the government.

According to government guidelines, cruise passengers will not be allowed to roam around the country freely, they will have to explore St Kitts and Nevis’ destinations via travel approved bubble vaccinated tours only.
All personnel who are going to provide services to the cruise passengers are fully vaccinated and underwent comprehensive training under ‘St Kitts-Nevis Travel Approve’.
Additionally, all tour operators are only allowed to take the cruise passengers from Port Zante to the destination site directly without any halts in a midway. Then they are directed to bring all the passengers back to docks where the Celebrity Equinox is berthed.
Under the banner of StKittsStrong, the Federations has stepped up to welcome cruise lines with comprehensive COVID-19 protocols amid rising cases.
Apart from this, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Aviation office will remain closed on Tuesday, September 14 to pedestrian traffic as Celebrity Equinox will berth at Port Zante. The public may access the offices only via telephone at 467-1161.
