St Kitts and Nevis to host “Land Matters Fair 2023”, aims to address land related issues
St Kitts and Nevis: The Ministry of Sustainable Development of St Kitts and Nevis will host the “Land Matters Fair 2023” from Thursday, February 9 to Friday, February 10, 2023. The two-day fair is slated from 9: 30 am to 5 pm aiming to clear the queries of the citizens related to land issues.
It will be held at two different venues Bladen Commercial Development Centre, Wellington Road, Basseterre and Ministry’s Parking lot.
Joyelle Clarke- Minister of Sustainable Development, Environment, Climate Action & Constituency Empowerment while sharing the flyer on Facebook outlined the significance of the event. She along with the government of St Kitts and Nevis invited the citizens facing issues related to the land and its ownership to apply for the fair.
The fair will feature a discussion on questions related to land ownership, land exchange, how to get land, issues related to the land letter, and many more. The experts will be available to clear the doubts according to the specification of the citizens so that they could get accurate information in the field of purchasing and selling land.
The Ministry of Sustainable Development of St Kitts and Nevis cited,” Have questions about your right to land ownership? Get them settled.” It added that they will discuss anything related to land.
The Ministry asked,” Got a Land letter in 2022? Bring it in! Need Land? Come and apply! Need Land exchanged? We will do that too.” These questions will be answered in the fair with efficient information and an explanation of the process.
The citizens will get the platform to engage with the workers of Sustainable Development to resolve their land-related matters. Joyelle Clarke noted,” As part of the Ministry’s public outreach, we are inviting you to come out to the L.A.N.D Fair with all your land-related questions.”

Various agencies will attend the fair in order to interact with the citizens on their matters of concern aiming to solve their issues and provide them with authentic information about the land allocation, normalization and distribution. It will also give chance to the citizens to know the ways of investing in the land efficiently.

These agencies will address the various departments of the land matters such as issues of lands in urban and rural areas, ways to improve the sustainability of the land, conduct surveys of land, and many more. The government of St Kitts and Nevis called it the perfect platform for the citizens to get aware of the various ongoing matters across the country.
