St Kitts and Nevis: Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources of St Kitts and Nevis is all set to host Agri Night Market (Public Market) on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 5 pm to 10 pm. Minister of Agriculture Samal Duggins invited the vendors and farmers to attend the market and explore the several opportunities in the agriculture sector.
The Agri Night Market will feature:
- Agri-processed goods
- Fruits and vegetables
- Fresh meat and fish
- Local drinks
- Coconut Water
- Grilled Seafood and so much more.
While inviting the public, Samal Duggins stated that therefore giving the agripreneurs as many opportunities as possible to sell their fresh produce and products is a high priority for them at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources of St Kitts.
“Fisherfolk and livestock farmers remember that we meet at 5.30 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, at the Department of Agriculture Conference Room, ”said the minister. The agri-night market will feature techniques and ways to improve and modernize the methods of farming and growing crops.
Along with that, the Ministry of Agriculture also hosted a Fisheries meeting with Samal Duggins on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. The meeting was held at Agriculture Large Conference Room at 5: 30 pm. Samal Duggins, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Marine Resources and Cooperatives, met and engaged in meaningful discussions with fisherfolk from all across St. Kitts in the Large Conference Room at the Department of Agriculture, LaGuerite, St. Kitts Wednesday, May 10 2023.
Minister Duggins is joined at the head-table by Acting Permanent Secretary Miguel Flemming and Director of the Department of Marine Resources, Dr. T. Marc Williams. Meetings continue with Livestock Farmers on Thursday, May 11 2023, in the Large Conference Room from 5:30 pm.
Ministry of Agriculture also hosted Agri-night Market in April, which remained successful with the convincing participation of the farmers across St Kitts. The market provides them with opportunities to access new ways and methods to strengthen their crops and products. They also get exposure to the market range in the agriculture sector and get the chance to interact with the consumers.
He will also meet the Livestock Farmers on Thursday, May 11, 2023, and listen to their problems and concerns. Samal Duggins will also outline his vision, plans and agendas for the strengthening of Livestock Farmers. He will also assure them to fulfil their concerns so that they can enhance their business at new levels of opportunities. Samal Duggins will also make them understand the significance of the local products and the offerings of St Kitts and Nevis.
