St Kitts and Nevis: St Kitts Teachers’ Union World Teachers Day is all set to celebrate World Teacher Day. In order to honour the teachers and their devotion to their duty, the government of St Kitts and Nevis decided to observe World Teachers Day.
They also lay down the week of activities for the occasion; the government stated that the teachers are the most significant pillar of the developed society.

Dr Denzil L Douglas- Minister of Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis, extended warm congratulations and greetings to Tryphena Hodge, Educator at Dieppe Bay Primary School, on reaching 34 years of dedicated and exemplified service to the Nation and Nation’s Children.
“Congrats and much appreciation for your many years of service Hodge,” said Dr Denzil Douglas.
On Sunday, 2nd October 2022, Denzil Douglas joined the Teachers, Staff and Students of the Dieppe Bay Primary School at a Worship and thanksgiving Service at the KG Swanston Memorial Methodist Church in Dieppe Bay at the commencement of Teachers Week of Activities.
Also, Mrs Tryphena Hodge was celebrated as the Longest Serving Teacher on Staff, 34 years of dedicated service as an Educator and Mentor to so many of our Nation’s Children.
May our Teachers in the Federation have a well-appreciated and productive week of Activities.
Teachers are the ones who make students see beyond the pages of their textbooks and invest time in understanding not just what they read but why it is important. Everyone must appreciate their existence and should discharge our duties and obligations towards them.
