St Kitts and Nevis: Schools across the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis are now being granted permission to conveniently visit and tour the St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) gateways by request.

The SCASPA’s “Get to Know our Port” initiative involves a guided tour detailing the most significant milestones and facilities of SCASPA where students are exposed to real-time port activities and main professions related to the port sector so that they may acquire a broader view of the history of St. Kitts and the Trade and Cruise Industry.

The “Get to know our port” initiative also awards students the opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of a busy Port while learning about St. Kitts’ official diversified and revolutionized main port managed and governed by SCARPA.

Recently, Geography students from the Immaculate Conception Catholic School (ICCS) and the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) visited the Authority with specific interest in the Meteorological Department where they were exposed to weather information and tools used.

“This information would better assist me in my studies, and I’m happy for the opportunity to see up close the instruments and be in such a cool space” – student from the Immaculate Conception Catholic School (ICCS).

The St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority is the official Port Authority of St. Kitts that facilitates trade and by extension – Tourism and bears responsibility over the four (4) main gateways on the island of St. Kitts, namely: The Deep-Water Harbor (Multipurpose Pier), Port Zante Cruise Terminal, the Basseterre Ferry Terminal, The Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport which also houses the Meteorological Department and Air Traffic Control.
