St Kitts and Nevis reports 7 new COVID-19 cases

Basseterre: St Kitts and Nevis at present has 30 total active COVID-19 cases on the island out of which 7 new case is reported in last 24hrs. As per the new COVID-19 update, the federation had recorded 2,774 total confirmed COVID-19 cases since the pandemic started.

In the last 14 days, no new imported COVID-19 cases have been reported.

Till now, 56,087 total people have been tested for COVID-19 by the medical teams of St Kitts and Nevis, out of which, a total of 2,774 people reported positive, while 53,313 people reported negative. No test reports is pending.

According to a recent update, 39 people have quarantined themselves at home, 34 individuals are admitted to government facilities, while 30 people are in isolation on the island.

A total of 24,834 people have been released from quarantine. In total, 2,716 people had recovered from the COVID-19 infection in the federation. Till now, a total of 28 people in St Kitts and Nevis succumbed to this dangerous COVID-19 virus.

Health Ministry had given several instructions to control the widespread of the COVID-19 virus across the island. The virus mainly spreads from the hands, so every person should wash the hands properly with soap or alcohol-based solutions to stop further infection.

People should cover their nose and mouth with a bent elbow or with a tissue while coughing or sneezing to stop the spread of the virus in the air.

After using the tissue, dispose of it and wash the hand properly. The health instructions stated not to touch the nose, face, or mouth and eyes as the virus mainly transmits from these parts. While following the social distancing guidelines, a person should stay at a distance of 6 feet during social interactions. If the person feels unwell, he/she should stay at home and inform the medical authorities to come and test them.
