St Kitts and Nevis: Premier Brantley asks people to vote CCM after election date announced
Nevis: As the date for the 2022 General Elections in St Kitts and Nevis has been revealed as Friday, August 5, 2022, the Premier of Nevis and the leader of the Concerned Citizen Movement, Mark Brantley, asked the people to let them restore the victory.
Premier Brantley took to Twitter and tweeted that the date has finally been announced because Dr Timothy Harris had run out of time for his conspiracies. He noted, “The date has finally been set as time has run out on Timothy Harris and his cabal.”
He bluntly called August 5, 2022- Freedom Day in St Kitts and Nevis. While asking people to vote for CCM, Premier Brantley asserted that this was the chance for everyone to show their right to cast a vote and let them to led the good governance to Basseterre.
“August 5, 2022, is Freedom Day in St Kitts and Nevis, and I am asking our people to vote overwhelmingly for the CCM Team and let us restore decency and good governance to Basseterre,” said the leader of CCM.
He asserted,” we can run, and we can hide, but time is the ultimate master. When time is up, it is up.”
Concerned Citizens Movement will conduct the elections from three seats of Nevis. There are a total of 11 parliamentary seats in St Kitts and Nevis. Three candidates of the CCM party for the three constituencies are:
Nevis#9 Premier Mark Brantley
Nevis#11 Alexis Jeffers
Nevis#10 Eric Evelyn
Further, CCM and the People’s Action Movement (PAM), under the leadership of Shawn K Richards, have formed a coalition to contest this year’s general elections.
Shawn K Richards also stressed that Freedom has come to the people of St. Kitts & Nevis! It’s time to put the people first under the People’s Action Movement.
Besides this, Premier Brantley visited various different communities of Nevis and interacted and listened to the concerns of the people.
The election was announced by Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris Sunday night, who rang the bell signalling time for Kittitians and Nevisians to cast a vote.
Nomination day had been announced for Tuesday, July 26, 2022.
