St Kitts and Nevis: PM Terrance Drew meets students of Deane Glasford Primary School 

Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis- Dr Terrance Drew, visited Deane Glasford Primary School on Wednesday Morning. He spoke to the students as part of Warren C. Tyson Memorial Scholarship Public Primary Schools.

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis- Dr Terrance Drew, visited Deane Glasford Primary School on Wednesday Morning. He spoke to the students as part of Warren C. Tyson Memorial Scholarship Public Primary Schools. 

PM Terrance Drew took to Facebook and shared glimpses of his visit to the school. He interacted with the students and shared his vision to uplift the educational structure of St Kitts and Nevis. He said that the scholarship played a significant role in his life as he benefited from this same in 1989. 

He said, “This morning I visited my alma mater, the Deane Glasford Primary School to speak to the students as part of the Warren C. Tyson Memorial Scholarship Public Primary Schools Tour. I benefited from this same scholarship in 1989.” 

PM Terrance Drew said that the tour showcased that the scholarship programme has benefited students of St Kitts and Nevis and managed to take higher studies in their life. The programme has assisted the country in strengthening the education sector. 

PM Drew said that the tour highlights the successes of the scholarship programme. The TDC Warren C. Tyson Memorial Scholarship Programme, named after the first Chairman of the TDC Group of Companies, Warren C. Tyson, was started in 1981 and offers financial assistance and support to students entering secondary school.

PM Dr Terrance Drew also interacted with the members of his Constituency and listened to their issues regarding several socio-economic activities in St Kitts and Nevis. He outlined his plans and vision for the welfare of the country and said that the government led by St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party has been working tirelessly to pave the developmental path for the country. 

He added that the engagement with the citizens remains fruitful as they outlined their concerns on several matters and shared their requirements with him. PM Drew also extended full support to the citizens and said that the government is always in the place to help them in their wellbeing. 

PM Terrance Drew noted, “I visited my Constituents today after speaking with the students at the Deane Glasford Primary School. I am always happy for any opportunity to engage with the residents of my Constituency.”
