St Kitts and Nevis: PM Terrance Drew meets President Joe Biden during 77th UNGA

He led the delegation of St Kitts and Nevis and stated that it was a great experience for him to attend and address the UNGA. In the session, he outlined various matters of concern. 

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew participated in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly and presented his inaugural address. He expressed happiness while sharing a glimpse of the UNGA as he met with President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill Biden during the session. 

He led the delegation of St Kitts and Nevis and stated that it was a great experience for him to attend and address the UNGA. In the session, he outlined various matters of concern. 

Prime Minister Dr Drew noted, “My presence at the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (being hosted in New York City, US), in representing St.Kitts-Nevis- along with my other colleagues, has been going quite well.” 

He added that the atmosphere has been very engaging in meeting leaders and other representatives from many countries around the world and using the opportunity to forge and push forward our national agenda and to collaborate with other countries to ensure that we push for peace and prosperity in this world, and so in terms of engagement, it’s going very well and in terms of pushing our positions forward, it is also going very well.

PM Drew outlined that the watershed moment: transformative solutions to interlocking challenges” is this year’s theme. As a global community, indeed, we collectively experience various challenges, and therefore, togetherness is key to tackling such for the betterment of us all.

“I am looking forward to making my presentation on behalf of our nation and people come tomorrow (Friday 23rd September 2022),” said the prime minister. 

During the session, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew also joined the dinner party hosted by President Joe Biden and Jil Biden. He also met with Resident Biden.
