St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew introduced the site for the construction of new hospital in St Kitts and Nevis on Saturday, February 25, 2023. He stated that the Federation will get the new hospital and add one more element to the enhancement of the medical infrastructure.
PM Terrance Drew took to social media and dropped the pictures of the site where the new hospital will be constructed. While expressing pleasure, PM Drew added that the government of St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party is committed to taking the country on the path of development.
He cited, “Standing at the possible site for the new hospital. When they go low, we go high. I would love to hear your feedback.” He also asked people to share their opinion on the decision.
The government of St Kitts and Nevis has been working to develop the country and its various sectors. PM Terrance Drew prioritized the medical sector and stated that the health structure should be strengthened.
The hospital is in a good location and will provide easy access and be in close proximity to the offshore schools if it’s going to be a teaching hospital.
One of the users noted, “Hope land is available close by for a new cfbc/university. An alternative would be the foothills above the airport runway.”
The construction of the new hospital will provide access to new opportunities and works as the perfect platform for employment generation. It will open doors to new exposure for the locality and build a market for local entrepreneurs. The students and the people who want to pursue their carrier as medical professionals could take it as an opportunity.
Along with that, there will be the progress of human resources. There are possibilities for refresher classes for the training of doctors and nurses. Modern and advanced incentives will be used to encourage more people to join the medical field.
Besides this, the construction of the hospital will provide jobs to the workers and the engineers during the process. The young minds will be used to construct and run the hospital. The project would also attract the great physicians and researchers to the island.
