St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis- Dr Terrance Drew, attended the closing ceremony for the 13th Caribbean Customs Law Enforcement Council (CCLEC) Junior Officers Basic Training Course.
PM Terrance Drew took to Facebook and shared glimpses of the ceremony. He expressed pleasure in attending the closing ceremony for the 13th CCLEC. He said, “Today, I attended the Closing Ceremony for the 13th Caribbean Customs Law Enforcement Council (CCLEC) Junior Officers Basic Training Course.”
Officers of the St Kitts and Nevis Customs and Excise Department have completed the Caribbean Customs Law Enforcement Council (CCLEC) Junior Officers Basic Training Course.
The officers received their certificates of completion during a ceremony held this morning at the Customs and Excise Department Headquarters. Among those on hand to congratulate the junior officers for their achievements were Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Dr. Terrance Drew; Head of the Civil Service, Thelma Richards; Financial Secretary, Hilary Hazel and the Comptroller of Customs, Kennedy De Silva.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew applauded the initiative for the development of training and human resources. He stated that the department has worked for the enhancement of the job skills of the staff for improved performance.
He said, “I commend the leadership of the Customs and Excise Department for its ongoing emphasis on training and human resource development to enhance the job skills of the staff for improved performance.”
PM Drew also expressed pleasure in completing the 13th CCLEC Junior Officers Basic Training Course. He also extended greetings to the department and encouraged them to continue their work for the betterment of St Kitts and Nevis.
“I am proud of the officers who officially completed the 13th CCLEC Junior Officers Basic Training Course. I extend heartfelt congratulations to all of you. You have stayed the course and have grown and enhanced your skills as a result. I am pleased at your commitment to serve your country as Customs and Excise Officers, “said the prime minister.
