St Kitts and Nevis: PM Terrance Drew asks public to join in swearing-in Ceremony of Cabinet

In her invitation message, Prime Minister Drew stated, "We are inviting the whole country to come out and see the inauguration ceremony of the ministers of the Cabinet of St Kitts and Nevis and their various ministers will be given out as well."

St Kitts and Nevis: Newly elected fourth Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis- Dr Terrance Drew, invited the general public to attend the swearing-in Ceremony of his Cabinet. He sent a formal invitation to the public and asked people to join them on August 13, 2022, at 4 pm at Warner Park Cricket Stadium.

Along with the swearing-in Ceremony, the ministerial portfolio will also be assigned to the candidates who secured victory in their respective constituencies.

In her invitation message, Prime Minister Drew stated, “We are inviting the whole country to come out and see the inauguration ceremony of the ministers of the Cabinet of St Kitts and Nevis and their various ministers will be given out as well.”

In an interview, PM Dr Drew also outlined that the circular that has viral on social media about the assignments of the ministers is not reflective of what he had planned. However, he confirmed his thinking regarding the Ministry of Education.

He outlined that he is wondering if people know that Dr Geoffrey Hanley would be the Minister of Education in the cabinet of St Kitts and Nevis.

Prime Minister, who is a medical doctor by profession, indicated that he is likely to take the Ministry of Health.

Further, through his social media, he also thanked people and promised to work for the welfare of the people.

He added, “In everything that we do, we must give thanks and praise to Almighty God. On Sunday, August 07 2022, the A-Team and all others who attended had blessed worship time at the Cayon Church of God (in Constituency #8) led by Pastor Benjamin Browne.”

He stated that having been sworn in as the nation’s fourth Prime Minister the day before, of course, divine inspiration and prayer on this leadership journey to better the nation is special and important.

“To everyone, thanks for your ongoing prayers. May God bless us all,” said the prime minister.
